Candids in the Playground
A few posts ago I put up a post of some recent candids. I had some more recent photos I had taken of friends and family. Most of these photos are random, taken at opportune times – nothing planned. I wonder when and if I ever do a planned photo shoot how things would go. I like candid, unplanned, photos. I like the spontaneity and capturing that on camera.
So these photos I took when I was at Wynnum jetty playground with my daughter and husband one morning. I bumped into a friend and her beautiful children (who attend the same school as my daughter) while there, which was a surprise, considering that Wynnum is far from our local neighbourhood. Of course, I had my camera and couldn’t resist taking some shots of my friends’ children.
One photo I’ve already posted, but I wanted to include this as a set. I quite like these photos and they were all taken with my 70-250mm lens. I like the shallow depth-of-field, and how photos taken with this lens blurs the background and brings the foreground image forward. I also like to be able to take photos without people being aware that you’re even taking photos. It helps with capturing the candid expressions of people, especially children who are always a delight to watch.
